The operation principles of the SHB parking system

can be compared with fully automatic high-bay warehouses of industry and wholesale trade:

  • Having reached the parking facility, you drive directly into one of the large, spacious entry terminals at ground level.
  • A control system shows the correct position of the car in the hand-over room.
  • In the hand-over room the car is measured and weighed.
  • When you have left the hand-over room, motion detectors check, whether there are still persons or animals in the entry terminal.
  • Handling is like in a conventional multi-storey car park: you get a ticket and pay at the cash point terminal.
  • The parking system turns the car by180 degrees and then parks it fully automaticly.
  • In the parking area the bays are arranged so closely that there is only one shaft available for the conveying technology in order to transport the cars.
  • All cars are reached by direct access.
  • After the payment procedure at the cash point your car is delivered again into the hand-over room.
  • The car is made available in the indicated hand-over room in forward drive position.
